EBRD APPROVED GRANT FOR CENTRAL SECURITY DEPOSITORY AD SKOPJE FUNCTIONAL UPGRADE
On Tuesday the 22-nd of March 2016 the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Central Security Depository AD Skopje (CSD) have signed a Grant Agreement for supporting the first phase of the ProjectCSD Skopje Functional Upgrade. The Project will be funded by the EBRD’s Shareholder Special Fund.
The main goal of the Project is modernization of CSD services by implementation of a web portals in order to provide for the end users-investors and issuers an user-friendly on line access to shareholding information, to streamline information availability for reporting purposes, and enable receiving information on corporate actions.
CSD services modernization shall follow the international standards and best practice in information technology security and data protection.
The Project is structured as two-phase project and it is expected to be finalized during the 2016. In the first phase of the project EBRD will support the activities for the development of the necessary analyzes, development of Technology strategy for the information system of the CSD and support the designing of the distribution system. Then, in the second phase of the project, the creation of appropriate technological solutions for the distribution system would follow.
With the EBRD grant and the CSD co-financing part, the both institutions present their strong commitment toward Macedonian capital market development and transparency.

The settlement of the stock exchange transactions that are due to settle on 02.12.2015g will be executed according to the regime of Depository non- working days (the Depository system will be closed for reservations made by Depository members and for settlement of stock exchange transactions).
