Data changes
Update on identification data (name and surname), address or update on the company’s name and company’s headquarters, that are registered on the securities holder’s account
If the securities holder is registered in the CSD system, but a change in the identification data has occurred (change in name, surname, address, company’s name or company’s headquarters), the following documentation shall be submitted:
For natural persons
Application for identification/update of client’s info
Copy of valid ID document (identity card or passport)
If the Application, along with the copy of ID document, are submitted through regular mail, then the copy of the valid ID document shall be certified by an authorized notary.
*The copy of the ID document is handled in the manner regulated by the Law on identity card
For legal entities
Application for identification/update of client’s info, signed by the legal representative of the entity, along with Registration certificate issued by the Central Registry of North Macedonia in original form, in copy certified by notary or in digital form signed with electronic signature, that has been issued no later than 30 days on the day of submission of the request.
Foreign legal entities submit a document equivalent to the Registration certificate, that shall be certified by a lawful authority according to the regulations of the country of origin, as well as translated into Macedonian by an authorized legal translator.
Update on identification data through a member of CSD AD Skopje
The identification of the securities holder can also be handled by a member of CSD AD Skopje, for the purposes of updating on client’s data, based on submitted Application by the same member of CSD AD Skopje. The Application shall be signed by the securities holder and certified by the CSD member, along with copy of ID document (also certified by the CSD member) submitted as an attachment to the Application (copy of ID document/passport for natural persons or Registration certificate for legal entities).
*The copy of the ID document is handled in the manner regulated by the Law on identity card
Update on Unique Identification Number for domestic natural persons
If the securities holder (domestic natural person) is registered in CSD system, but a change in its Unique Identification Number has occurred, for the purposes of updating on client’s data, the following documentation shall be submitted:
If the request is submitted personally, the following documentation is required:
- Application for identification/update of client’s info, along with copy of valid ID document (ID card or passport) as an attachement to the Application and
- Decision issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in original form or copy certified by an authorized notary
If the request is submitted through regular mail, an Application for identification/update of client’s info (certified by an authorized notary) shall be submitted, along with the following attached documentation:
- Copy of valid ID document (ID card or passport) and
- Decision issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in original form or copy certified by an authorized notary
Change of data for the ID number of domestic natural persons
If the holder is registered in the CSD system and there is a change in the ID number of the person who is a domestic natural person, s/he should submit to CSD the following documents in order to register the change:
If the request is submitted in person, in the CSD premises:
- a special form accompanied by a statement of consent that the CSD can keep a copy of a valid identification document (ID card or passport) and
- a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior in original or a copy of the decision certified by a notary.
If the request is submitted by post:
- a special form is submitted accompanied by a statement of consent that the CSD can keep a copy of a valid identification document (ID card or passport),
- a certified copy of the identification document and
- a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior in original or a copy of the decision verified by a notary.
Correction of errors of the identification data that are already registered on securities accounts
- A correction of errors as they appear on a securities account can be made at a request of the account holder accompanied by necessary documents that will serve as proof for determining the registered error
- If the request is submitted in CSD premises, the requesting party should present an identification document (ID card, passport or in case of legal entities an excerpt from the original register issued not later than three months in original or a certified copy), and a written request for correction of the error should be filled out (accompanied by a statement of consent that the CSD can keep a copy of a valid identification document).
- If the request for correction of an error is submitted by post, the request is submitted accompanied with documents (in original or verified copies) from which the error can be ascertained.
Change of data in cases of dual citizenship or expired passports for foreign natural persons
Given that the Securities Law prescribes that one person can have only one securities holder account as ownership account at the CSD, the following account holders should inform the CSD in order to update their personal data:
1. Account holders that should open a new ownership account due to expired passports or other changes in identification data,
2. Account holders that have two or more accounts with different identification data due to dual citizenship.
At the same time, in the cases listed above, the account holder should submit evidence from which the CSD will verify that tha applicant is the same person, and if these documents are submitted by post they should be submitted in original or a certified copy.
